What are the racks made of?
304 stainless steel, welded without seams. They stay true and rust-free from −196 °C to 121 °C, so they can be autoclaved.
Which box sizes fit?
Standard 1-, 2- and 3-inch cryo boxes, 133 × 133 mm. Canisters for liquid nitrogen tanks take 25-place or 100-place boxes. Non-standard boxes on request.
How do I work out how many racks I need?
Send the freezer model. The compatibility list gives racks, boxes and vial counts for common freezers, and we confirm for yours.
Do you also supply boxes and vials?
Yes: PP, PC and cardboard cryo boxes in 81- and 100-place formats, and cryo vials from 0.5 to 10 ml.
Do you make racks to a drawing?
Yes. Send the freezer or tank drawing and the box you use. We confirm the drawing with you, make new tooling if the box is non-standard, and build in batches.
Are the vials free of enzymes?
Our cryo vials are sterile and free of DNase and RNase.
